VigRX Plus has the more direct product-research case. Performer 8 offers an ingredient-led alternative, but its US web pages currently disagree about the formula and serving size. The better value depends on whether you prioritize a published trial, a particular ingredient profile, or the lowest verified cost for the bottle you will receive.

Our choice for a reader who values product-level research is VigRX Plus, with a qualification. Its published trial used capsules and a different daily regimen from the reviewed retail tablets. Performer 8 may interest a shopper seeking KSM-66 ashwagandha, but the brand needs to clarify which label applies to the US order.

Compare actual quantities, not the size of the ingredient list

The reviewed US VigRX Plus label lists, per two tablets, Korean red ginseng 200 mg, saw palmetto 200 mg, damiana 200 mg, epimedium extract 30 mg, and BioPerine 10 mg, among other ingredients. This describes the retail panel, not a reconstructed dose from the older study.

Performer 8’s newer web panel instead emphasizes ashwagandha, amino acids, caffeine, vitamins, and minerals. It gives four capsules as the serving, while directions on the same page say three. Its older sales material presents a different botanical formula. We have not established which panel matches the bottle currently shipping through every US offer.

This changes the comparison in a practical way. A consumer avoiding caffeine should not use an older nine-ingredient review as a shopping specification. Equally, the presence of a larger ashwagandha amount on a web panel does not settle which product is more effective for erection quality. Different outcomes, extracts, and formulations cannot be reduced to one milligram score.

What the VigRX Plus trial establishes

In Shah and colleagues’ 2012 trial, 78 men were randomized and 75 completed 12 weeks. The study product outperformed placebo on self-reported IIEF erectile-function and satisfaction measures. That is a substantive advantage over a formula supported only by ingredient references.

There are boundaries. The protocol used two capsules twice daily. The reviewed commercial label uses two tablets a day, and equivalence has not been established. The trial was small, involved a selected population, and was funded by the product’s manufacturer. It does not establish a typical result for every customer, a reliable time to onset, or equal performance to prescription ED treatment.

What Performer 8 can reasonably bring to the comparison

Ashwagandha has human research relevant to sexual desire and training. A trial in men with lower desire tested 300 mg twice daily for eight weeks and reported improvement on a sexual-function questionnaire. That gives an ingredient-focused buyer a sensible reason to investigate the formula. It is not a head-to-head result against VigRX Plus.

We did not identify a randomized trial of the complete current Performer 8 blend. Without a direct comparison, there is no defensible percentage by which one product “beats” the other. The useful distinction is the type of evidence available and whether the actual purchased formulation matches the evidence being discussed.

A price comparison with the assumptions visible

Observed price routePrice basisConditional daily figure
Observed price route — VigRX Plus cart listingPrice basis — One month advertised “as low as” $62.10Conditional daily figure — $2.07 for a 30-day month, if eligible
Observed price route — VigRX Plus three-month listingPrice basis — “As low as” $51.66 per monthConditional daily figure — $1.72 using 30-day months, if eligible
Observed price route — Performer 8, 90 capsulesPrice basis — $64.99 on the US sales pageConditional daily figure — $2.17 at three capsules, $2.89 at four
Observed price route — Performer 8, 450 capsulesPrice basis — $194.99 advertised bundleConditional daily figure — $1.30 at three capsules, $1.73 at four

These are November 5, 2026 observations from the VigRX cart listing and Performer 8 sales page. “As low as” pricing may depend on payment or purchase conditions that were not verified. Performer’s two figures reflect the unresolved directions, without recommending either intake. Shipping, taxes, and recurring-order conditions can reverse a narrow price advantage.

Guarantees and tolerability can change the value

The VigRX route advertises 67 days and Performer advertises 60. Read the detailed return conditions. Performer’s US policy specifies a 5% handling deduction and excludes shipping, whereas a sales headline may sound more generous. A longer window is useful, but neither policy proves the product will work for you.

For tolerability, start with the actual bottle rather than which page says “natural” most often. Performer’s disclosed caffeine may be unwelcome if you already use an energy product. VigRX’s caffeine-free reviewed label does not establish that it is free of interactions. Discuss a botanical sexual-wellness product with your clinician if you take prescription medicines, particularly medicines affecting blood pressure or bleeding. Our supplement safety guide provides context.

Our verdict

Choose VigRX Plus for the clearer product-research history and a reviewed retail tablet label, provided you understand the older capsule trial’s limits. Consider Performer 8 if its ingredient profile is your priority and the seller first supplies a consistent current US label. We would not buy a large Performer bundle merely because its lowest advertised daily price appears better under one set of directions.

Read the complete VigRX Plus review or Performer 8 review before deciding. Both remain dietary-supplement choices. Neither has been established here as an equivalent substitute for a prescribed ED medicine.
